"We are not what was intended" -John Doe |
Base.
How low can we go?
Fuck the Beatles, I'm an animal
An upright ape with opposable thumbs
To hold the clubs
To hold the guns
Swing low sweet chariot
God bless my DNA
Drunk drive my Chevy to the levee
Let the flood come and sweep me away
No this ain't the apocalypse
It's the way shit has always been
From Sodom to Saddam
Attila to Tienenmen
A quarter million years of human being
A quarter million years as a human stain
We use ten percent of our gorgeous brains
And leave the rest up to cocaine
Lucy in the sky
Got her hands on a new shotgun
Lucy in the sky
Got her hands on a Remington
Lucy in the sky
Her shiny diamonds drenched in blood
And I know where the wild things are
Don't look far
Don't look far
'Cause I got wisdom in my teeth
And terror in my wars
Yes, I know where the wild things are
Don't look far.
Don't look far.
There's a reason that it's hard to look in the mirror.
There's a reason that it's hard to go to the zoo
And there's a reason you want to pry open the cage
See, you should be there, too.
or basically...THIS:
LOL now that was fun to go through
ReplyDeleteAs you let your fingers come due
And gave a great spiel to view
Sadly, I agree with you
The lyrical content of that song is great! The musics good but the lyrics are GREAT! I totally agree!
ReplyDeleteExcellent lyrics.
ReplyDeleteThat was deep. Pretty damn true too. Now I have to listen to The Human Stain.
ReplyDeleteThese lyrics are actual genius man, this is so thought provoking. Thanks for sharing this buddy.
ReplyDeleteThe sad part is that video is spot on.
ReplyDeletelove the lyrics...swing low indeed
ReplyDeletethe lyrics are very moving and i like how he chooses to word and describe things, it really colors the song with his view instead of our own
ReplyDeleteOn some days I feel like the chimp on the far left!
ReplyDeleteFrom Sodom to Saddam. interesting.
ReplyDeleteindeed...
ReplyDeleteI'm good with this post. Yes. Also good with the skit, chuckled.
ReplyDeleteGreat lyrics.
ReplyDeleteGood job, man! Expose the satan-worshiping evolutionist's lie for what it is! EVOLUTION IS A LIE PERPETUATED BY THE LIBERAL AGENDA! THEY ARE TRYING TO STEER OUR NATION AWAY FROM GOD
ReplyDeletehmmmm...I didn't know how to respond since I wasn't sure if you were being ironic/trolling or legit. Then I checked out your blog and now I think you're serious.
DeleteThis post wasn't meant to bash evolution, but to instead, illustrate the shortcomings of modern (and ALL of) human civilization. But really, I just wanted to share a song from a sweet band I saw last week. Hopefully, even if you don't side with it's lyrical content, you can tap your feet to it's pretty gnarly groove.
that skit seems disturbingly accurate
ReplyDeleteGotta love all the classic song references.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing, nice lyrics :)
ReplyDeleteFirst song- what was that? My eardrums........
ReplyDeleteLoved the lyrics. And that picture - so true..
Great lyrics on that first song. And yeah, I'm sad about how stifled humanity is. :(
ReplyDeleteSo many allusions to so many different genres of music in those lyrics
ReplyDeleteWKUK are hilarious
ReplyDeleteWe are damaged goods now but what can you do....
ReplyDeleteGreat post, mate. Although, we don`t use only ten percent of our brains. It`s a myth.
ReplyDeleteNot too sure if McBama is trollin... If not then what the hell??
ReplyDeletelol what did i read
ReplyDeleteWhat Kris said. If we used anything close to 100% of our brains at any time it be like having a seizure.
