Grind Time: Real Deal VS Dirtbag Dan

this is an update for last week's Grind Time post, where we saw Real Deal and Dirtbag Dan on opposite sides of the 2x2 team battle. Last week at the Paid Dues Fest in SoCal, the two went head to head against each other. IMO (and many in the youtube comments section) Real Deal won the battle but alas, Dan had the West Coast/Cali advantage and riled up the crowd to victory.

Grind Time: Real Deal & Fresco VS Soul Khan & Dirtbag Dan

I haven't spent as much time lurking the interwebz or watching the recent videos from my favorite youtube rap battle league, Grind Time, in a while. They update new content so often, I swear it feels like a full time job just trying to keep up. Here is battle from last year that features three of my favorite emcees, and Dirtbag Dan who just kind of chimes in with dumbshit whenever he feels like.

Seriously, this is supposed to be a 2x2 battle, but it's really just Real Deal & Fresco against Soul Khan. Still wildly entertaining though. One hell of an exhibition match.

Real Deal and Dirtbag Dan squared off against each other at this weekends Paid Dues festival here in Southern California. Word on the street (web forums!) is that Dirtbag Dan won. I seriously don't understand how this could have happened.....I'll post the match as soon as the footage is uploaded.

Grind Time: Soul Khan Vs ZM

Judging by the comments from my original Grind Time post, you bloggers seemed to get a kick out of this stuff, so as promised...here's more!

This battle is PURE LULZ. Both emcees are pretty wicked, but Soul Khan is seriously on another level. If you can appreciate top tier fat & Jew jokes, this ones for you.

After they decided the winner, the judges requested a bonus OT round you can view here. Not as great as the main round though but still cool. What do some of you new followers think of this? Whats your favorite zinger from the battle? Do you agree with the judges decision? etc. etc.

Glad I found...GRIND TIME

Oh the magical world of YouTube. I came across a video this weekend that changed my life for the better. Grind Time Now is, according to their website, "The World's Largest Hip Hop Battle League," where emcees from across the country battle each other to advance in rank/tier. Almost all of these battles are pre-written, as in NOT spontaneous off the top freestyles, but in each match the battling emcees do feed off each other and come up with some on the spot rebuttals. This wasn't the first Grind Time battle I watched, but this was the one that made me click favorite and then subscribe to the channel. These two guys have a history competing against each other and are two of the top ranked dudes in the league.



I've spent WAY more time than I should have these past few days watching different Grind Time battles. I think I might just make this a regular feature on my ol' blog to highlight some of the awesome match ups and talented emcees I've stumbled across. I'm curious what you guys think of this...
