ILL. REALLY, REALLY ILL.

So I was supposed to write about my super awesome exploits from last week's vacation but alas, I got sick. Really sick. I came home from work Saturday night and fell into a 103 degree fever. I've been sick in bed shaking and sweating it out ever since.

I went to the doctor yesterday and was told I have a nasty bacterial infection along with slight bronchitis. They gave me some antibiotics, super powered cough syrup and for shits and giggles, two shots in the ass. I wish I just making that last part up but, I'm not. Also, not having health insurance, had to pay the whole visit out of pocket. I'm forbidden from working until Thursday, and since I was on vacation all last week, April is going to be a VERY costly month for me =/

The only good thing that has come from this whole ordeal is USA shows a shit load of Law & Order: SVU episodes. I caught a marathon on Sunday and am watching another today. Watching this show with a fever is like watching in super HD 3D. It's even more dramatic and intense then normal. Stabler and Benson FTW.

Allergies/Time Off

MFW allergy season kicks my ass

So I've been neglecting this here blog lately. I actually had some cool ideas for new posts but that's going to have to wait a bit. My allergies are kicking up (like mega Oprah horrible) and my poor ol' eyeballs are taking the brunt of the beating. Wearing contacts is next to impossible these days since my eyes are red, watery, dripping goo half the time and itchy as hell. It's so bad that I can't even sit in front of a computer for too long without wanting to jam pencils in my eyelids. And with that graphic description out of the way, I'm going to be MIA from the interwebz for a few days. Give my eyes a rest and maybe brush up on thee ol' drum kit. Maybe. Hopefully. Either way: TTFN.

Back to work

So I'm still kind of sick but had to go back to work yesterday. I figured maybe getting out of the house and back into routine might help me get on my feet again. WRONG. My day went like this:

Buenos Dias: I'm Sick

ALLLLLLLL-Riiiiiiighttyyy-THeeeeeen

So I'm sick. Spent the past two days in bed feeling like recycled excrement. You know the drill. This morning I woke up at 5:00am to use the restroom and lucky for me, couldn't fall back asleep. I watched some of the local morning news programs but they repeat the exact same stories every 30 mins and that got old around 6:00am. Thank God for the Spanish news stations!

Flipping the channels, in a half groggy, nasally congested stupor, I saw a radiant vision on Telemundo's Buenos Dias Los Angeles...her name: Elva Saray.



Now keep in mind this was six o'clock in the morning, I was half dead and had no idea what she or anyone on the broadcast was saying, but I still think I know true love when I see it. So if you're ever up at the ass crack dawn and in Southern California, I highly recommend you watch out for the lovely Miss Saray.

strange times

So I'm feeling a little better. I never got a chance to call out sick from work so I just sweated most of my illness out over the past few days.

Since my self imposed blogger exile, THE WORLD HAS STARTED FALLING APART w/Japan in the lead for ARMAGEDDON points =/ I don't even think MartinLawrenceBadBoys.jpg is suitable here....shit just got UNREAL. 8.9 earthquakes, tsunamis and now possible nuclear fallout, lions, tigers & bears oh my.

I'm leaving for Vegas as soon as I publish this post. I'm still sort of sick but I don't care, The Strokes are back and I'm not missing this show. Hope California isn't a radioactive waste land when I return. Take care bloggers, hopefully I'll see you all soon. Remember:

I'm coming down with something folks. I've been forcibly blowing nice chunks of brownish crap out of my nose for the last two days. Now I feel like I've been run over by a truck. I'm going to have to call out from work one of these days to get my rest/recovery on or else I won't be able to make the Vegas trip I've been planning for months =/

Sick

Whats that? You want me to stay in bed all day with you Nurse?

So I'm sick again. For those of you who don't know I have the shittiest immune system ever. My friends dubbed me the "walking virus" back in middle school because I was always coming down with something. After an awesome string of days not working, seeing Weezer and Faith No More in concert and just enjoying myself in general, I guess all the excitement (and COLD FUCKING AIR) finally caught up with me. Forgive the lapse in blogging for the next few days. I'll post reviews for those shows (they ruled so hard) and get back to following you all when my nose clears, throat moistens  and head stops spinning. In the meantime, I'm waiting for my special treatment to arrive:

On Loop

Feeling a bit under the weather. Not full blown sick (yet) but definitely fighting something. This seems to happen every time I purchase a new Disney dvd. On the nights Little Mermaid and Aladdin were released I ended up curled in ball sweating with a fever in my girlfriend's lap. Went and got Toy Story 3 on election day and here I am still feeling like garbage two days later. Moral of the story...don't support Disney least you want your body to shut down!

I've been listening to these two songs A LOT in my semi-conscious state. The last half of Torche's new EP Songs For Singles....good stuff.
