Quentin VS Coen

MOAR!
Last week I attended a rad little art exhibit at Hollywood's Barndell art park. The occasion? A two day event featuring art that payed tribute to the films of Quentin Tarantino and the Coen Brothers...and it was free. How awesome is that?

I didn't take many photos inside the exhibit because it was small/cramped and I didn't want to be a douchelord and get in peoples way. Here is some footage from the exhibit's NYC stop earlier this year (there were three stops, NYC, SF and LA):

I cracked down and bought a print of the angry Samuel L. Jackson/Jules image. The original canvas was going for $3,000 =0

Here's MOAR Tarantino VS Coen Brothers madness for you bloggers to enjoy:

  1. Although I don't really attend art exhibitions often I usually do enjoy them when I go. With that said I would LOVE to have had the opportunity to have went to this exhibition, you're incredibly lucky man. Both Tarantino and the Coen brothers are incredible talents, the Big Lebowski is so awesome, I'm honestly jealous of you for getting to experience that buddy, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  2. Dude, really? That one sounds amazing. I mean I've been to my share of nice ones, but that one would've given me that nice warm feeling you get when something you want to see done gets done. Sounds badass, just plain awesome badassness.

  6. Pretty cool. QT and the Coens are two filmmakers who influenced me a lot when I was younger.

  8. It fits pretty well because both the Coens and Tarantino are very stylized in their approaches and their films lend themselves to that kind of art.

  9. My God I'm jealous. I read about this somewhere. I really wish I could've attended.

I'm a huuuuuge fan of Tarantino. I remember introducing Reservoir Dogs to the majority of my sixth grade class.

    Enjoy your Jules print!
